Day 21: Have meaningful conversations.
This goes beyond the cliche phrases, how are you? How was work? How was school?
Dive a little deeper.
What did you do in school?
What is your favorite thing you did today?
What is something you learned in school that you did not know?
Did anything make you upset today? Why?
What are you feeling?
What made you happy today? Why?
What are you grateful for?
Tell me a funny story.
These are some examples of what I mean by dig deeper. The purpose of this, is to really get to know someone for who they are. Not only that, also so they can know you for who are rather then “know” you by setting you may be in (e.g. work, school, church).
Too many times we get caught up in basic conversations which passes the time but can you imagine the impact it can have if the conversations were meaningful? Can imagine the relationships that can be built and maintained if you really cared about what someone has to say?
