Day 17: Enjoy a moment of silence.
This challenge is actually easier than we make it.
When I started to notice the opportunities I had to enjoy silence, I noticed how beneficial it is. During those time I’ve started to think positive thoughts and think on all God has done for me.
I use that time to meditate.
Silence can be found anywhere. Maybe it’s in a car ride, when you’re in the bath/shower, when the children are asleep, ect.
It can even be at work, if you have the opportunity to step away and go to the bathroom or on your lunch break.
Silence is a beautiful sound. It can help you think, relax, and be more mindful of your body and your surroundings.
In silence you can hear your breathing, focus on it, and regulate it.
We miss the joys of silence when we constantly find things to do to “pass the time” or avoid the “awkward silence.”
Take a moment of silence, those 5 minutes of silence is worth it!
