31 Day Self Care Challenge: Day 3

Day 3: Affirm your worth.

It’s easy to forget your worth, your value. When things go wrong, things change, people change, your body changes, your perspective changes, your life changes, it’s easy to get lost in the shuffle.

After having a child your body changes. After having a child your relationships can change. After having a child your perspective can change. After having a child your life changes.

Maybe you do not have a child but you find yourself at a point in your life when everything seems to be moving so fast but yet you’re standing still. Not only is everything changing in your life but maybe in those close to you. Maybe things are changing in their life for the good and though you rejoice with them your heart breaks because you wonder why you’re not good enough to receive the same blessings…

Well I want to tell you,

You are good enough. You are more than enough.

I know all too well. I’ve encountered many changes in my life, alot of growing pains. At one point in my life I was focusing on the chaos around me and I wasn’t  tending to myself, I wasn’t catering to myself, I wasnt loving on myself.

The day I realized what I deserved was the day I made the decision to affirm my worth and remind myself of the queen that I am.

How do you affirm your worth?

Remind yourself of what you can do.

I can do this, I have the strength and power within me to rise above this.

Remind yourself of who you are.

I am beautifully and fearfully made, I am a warrior, I am a queen, I am a delicate flower that deserves to be treated with love and respect.

Remind yourself of why your affirming your worth.

This is my motivation, a reminder that I will be ok.

You will be ok.

During the tough time affirm your worth and reverse the negative thoughts that can influence your actions, your outcome. During the most amazing times, affirm your worth and boost your confidence.

How else can you affirm you worth?

Do something for yourself! Something that will bring you joy. Even if that means going on a solo date with you and yourself. Treat yourself! Get dressed up and step out of the house and impress, shut the show down! Feel amazing again. It’s ok to feel all that! It’s ok to look in the mirror and see a diamond.

You are worth spending time with.

You are a somebody.

The challenge for today and everyday? Affirm your worth.  You deserve it.

You deserve happiness. You deserve peace. You matter.
